LocaPhone 5.8.1 ist eine Überarbeitung von LocaPhone auf Basis von Ubuntu 24.04 TLS. Durch die Änderungen an grundlegenden Komponenten von LocaPhone kommt es teilweise zu Einschränkungen bei der Verwendung von Leistungsmerkmalen.

Mit LocaPhone 5.8.1 und Asterisk 20 wird das Modul PJSIP als Standard für die Anbindung von externen Verbindungen und internen Teilnehmern genutzt. Hierdurch kommt es teilweise zu Einschränkungen bei der Benutzung von unterstützen Endgeräten.
